DT-AMP™

DT-AMP™ is a new and novel post-inversion processing product suitable for applying to relative/coloured impedance or deterministic inversion results. DT-AMP™ is designed to remove residual amplitude/thickness tuning effects that will be present in relative/coloured or deterministic inversion. DT-AMP™ may be applied to any pre- or post-stack inversion output or to the results of EEI inversion, or reflectivity data after integration to bandlimited impedance.DT-AMP™ offers a number of advantages overconventional inversion products:
  • Amplitude de-tuning is performed allowing extractedamplitudes to be used more reliably during seismicinterpretation. By removing thickness effects, the visibleamplitudes can be directly interpreted in terms oflitho-facies or property changes.
  • Multiple products are supplied, with and without tuningcorrections, allowing rapid comparison of results with justsingle interpretation horizon picks. Thicknesses, in time ordepth, together with Seismic Net:Gross and sand thicknessestimates are also immediately available as attributes onthe workstation.
  • Amplitude extraction is rapid for the interpreter aspicking is more robust and only a single pick (not a topand base zero crossing) is required in order to displayamplitudes and de-tuned amplitudes or seismic net payor sand thickness estimates.
  • Relative/coloured and deterministic inversion seismiccubes are not suitable for input as seismicconditioning for reservoir models due to tuning. Byprocessing with DT-AMP™, the volumes are detuned andready for reservoir model conditioning directly, in 3D,without the need for generating 2D seismic propertymaps picked between zero crossings and subsequentlydetuned.
Our DT-AMP™ workflow can be applied with or without well calibration data, can be applied to existing inverted volumes supplied by the client or can added to our existing workflow and services to provide additional value added products toany relative/coloured or deterministic inversion processing.
