Plug-in Overview

The Fracture Detect plug-in identifies fractures and faults which other algorithms don’t. This works in noisy conditions, removing the noise or footprint to produce a fault and fracture attribute. The idea of this method is the decomposition of the seismic cube or reflection surface on the orthogonal components (principal components) based on its 3D or 2D autocorrelation function.
