PerfAct allows fast, accurate and repeatable optimization of perforation designs based on multiple constraints. It uses the RockMSE output from OmniLog to enhance perforation efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in reduced completion costs. PerfAct accounts for wellbore heterogeneity, rock and reservoir properties; and adjusts the baseline completion plan to optimize perforation placement and improve overall completion performance.
PerfAct analyzes the rock strength profile and other relevant information such as gamma ray, gas detections and mass spectroscopy. Using sophisticated computer algorithms, perforations are selectively placed in areas of similar rock properties while avoiding the depleted fractures.
PerfAct analysis is performed in minutes and can be repeated to validate different completion designs. Final recommendations are reviewed by basin experts before delivery. The service includes several revisions–even including during the stimulation treatment–should the treatment perform outside of expectations.
