Hydraulic fractures are represented by a set of parameters that describe the geometry, permeability, attenuation and other parameters.

Plug-in Overview

This plug-in is designed to model hydraulic fracturing for large fields with many wells. It creates additional completions to represent hydraulic frac. Simulation will run very fast because grid remains uniform. This plug-in works with Black Oil model.

Features

Hydraulic fractures can be imported via text files or created inside Petrel in the spreadsheet. Parameters can be edited in the spreadsheet. Objects that represent hydraulic fractures are created for visualization purposes.
