The problems of noise in Industry RTM are well known. Noise is detrimental to the final image, reducing bandwidth and impacting turnaround time. Both correlation and dispersion noise are disruptive to amplitudes and frequency.

Unlike eRTM, many industry RTM products produce only stack results or, at best, angle gathers.

SIP’s eRTM is noise free, full bandwidth and provides offset gathers which are suitable for residual velocity analysis.

eRTM effectively removes noise from the data and can be completed in a much shorter time frame than industry RTM.
