Rose
Rose is a directional rose diagram plotting program for researchers and students that do not need to plot direction and magnitude data. The goal of this program is to produce publication quality diagrams and reliable vector statistics.
Platforms:
Windows 98SE and higher
Windows XP Professional SP3 is recommended
Features of the program are:
- Unidirectional and bidirectinal roses.
- Equal area and arithmetic roses.
- Variable class sizes (5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 30°, etc.).
- Vector statistics.
- Handles 30,000+ measurements on a single rose (but why would you want to do that).
- Spreadsheet input with standard spreadsheet cutting and pasting.
- Multiple document interface so that several roses can be displayed side by side.
- Data can be dragged between roses to combine data sets.
- Placeable(WMF) and Enhanced(EMF) metafile support for importing into other applications. You can also copy the metafiles through the Windows Clipboard. Note: Win2000/XP coverts WMFs to EMFs when copying throught the Clipboard. Some applications (e.g., Powerpoint) do not display EMFs correctly. You need to break the EMFs apart or import a WMF.
- Control over rose properties: fonts, fills, axes, etc.
- Windows interface, using standard Windows file open and save, color, and font dialog forms.
