Configuration Guard

The Plugin for the Petrel platform "Configuration Guard" (CFGuard) has the purpose of streamlining and automating the backup process of a project developed using the Petrel platform, It allows users to automatically generate a compressed file (ZIP) that contains the project’s proprietary information, that is, it considers the information found in the Petrel platform and external files that the specialist considers is important to preserve.

Add extra files external to petrel in the backup. Select the type of file and the location, when the backup is generated, the files are in the zip file.The user can select any type of file, for example .doc, .pdf, .jpg, .png, .txt , etc

Plug-in Overview

Configuration Guard (CFGuard) is a plug-in for Petrel whose objective is to optimize and automatize the protection process of a development project utilizing Petrel platform, as well as permit the user to automatically generate a compressed file (ZIP) with the existing project information in Petrel along with external archives, which the specialist considers important to keep.

Specifications

• Obtain parameters and variables of the Project wished to be backed up.
• Permit geo-referencing management of a Project, dividing the contained information into seismic cube.
• Generate technical data and guard report.
• Allow the corresponding protection documentation to be saved. (datasheet and report) in a variety on different formats (.pdf, .doc, etc.).

• Allow the user the ability to select the route where the protected archive is generated or housed (network or local address).
• Generate a zip archive with all the desired elements selected by the user.
