ResBal is a state-of-the art material balance analytic tool from Plano Research Corporation. It is a powerful software package for analyzing and predicting the performance of combination drive oil and gas reservoirs. ResBal can handle a wide range of hydrocarbon fluid types and reservoir drive mechanisms using a generalized material balance equation and various aquifer models. It can estimate original hydrocarbons in place and aquifer properties based on a reservoir’s performance history.
