Gasmod is a fully integrated gas reservoir/multi-phase gathering system simulator, built for speed in both model creation and computation.
In one stand-alone model, it is possible to simulate complex gathering systems (including items such as flow splitting and line looping) with or without liquids, vertical/horizontal wells, 3D gridded reservoirs and/or simple tanks.
Fully integrated gas reservoir/multi-phase pipeline simulator
Gasmod is capable of modelling large and small gas properties. The simulation of complex pipeline systems (with or without liquids), vertical/horizontal wells, 3D reservoirs, and simple tanks are all possible in one stand-alone model. Additional capabilities include flow splitting, line looping, parallel/series compression, multiple delivery points, and injection/withdrawal scenarios. The drag-and-drop pipeline design feature and on-screen UTM coordinate system allow the user to build surface network systems quickly and accurately.
A very fast and computationally efficient simulator
It accurately predicts results from infill drilling (including back-out of existing production), compressor modifications, and debottlenecking. Gasmod also assists with reserves determination, competitive drainage situations, and becomes a good database of information for a gas property. It is also a useful gas marketing tool for day to day storage commitments.
More than 20 years of successful usage
Gasmod is widely used to model the low permeability Jean Marie and Montney fields of NE British Columbia/NW Alberta, and the shallow gas fields of SE Alberta/SW Saskatchewan. It is also widely used for evaluating and optimizing new and existing gas storage projects. Gasmod is currently being utilized on coal bed methane and shale gas type properties.
